  1. H Eureka CC,

how do Divisions correspond to Grades A,B,C,D etc. ? Is Div. 3 = C-Grade?

    thanks

    Brendan (C-Grade Eastern CC)

    • Hi Brendan,
Your age and your grading (at Eastern) will all be taken into account as we sort out the divisions.

We do not have enough time to stage “5 year age group” Championships, so we have created a scale to sort riders by age first, then by ability.

Both age-based events and graded events have issues and we aim to address those issues with our scale.
Why? We need to promote safety first and ensure that the 86 year old rider (who has entered) is not competing against riders aged in their 30s.

      eg.
Male rider aged 33 is eligible to compete in Divisions 1-4 = he will be graded into one of those divisions based on ability/form
Male rider aged 86 is eligible to compete in Divisions 6-8 = he will be graded into one of those divisions based on ability/form
Female rider aged 47 is eligible to compete in Divisions 2-6 = she will be graded into one of those divisions based on ability/form

It’s a risk, but we needed to re-ignite the South Pacific Championships in some form. Thank you for reaching out to us Brendan, I hope this has provided the answer you were seeking.
      Kind regards,

      Dean Wells

      EUREKA Cycling – Vice President

  2. Hi
How do we find out what division we are in?
    Cheers
    Rae

    • Hi Rae,
Each rider will receive an email with the race program.

      Kind regards,

      Dean
